Shocking Hate Crime Leaves Three Black Children Covered In Pepper Spray, One Hospitalized

in Left Wing Nation by

Welcome to Trump’s America, where racists are so comfortably out in the open that they’ve started to attack black children because they want to make America great again. It’s the good ol’ days of terrorizing blacks all over again:

A black Portland family says they were accosted in Northeast Portland this week by a cyclist who used a racial slur as he shot pepper spray at three children.

“The suspect turned around northbound, riding back by the car and sprayed the kids with pepper spray,” the release says. “Garner reported to police that the man yelled a racial epithet at them as he pepper sprayed the kids then rode away.”

One of the children, the 12-year-old, was hit so badly that he had to be taken to the local hospital:

“The fumes coming off the child were enough to choke one of the doctors,” says Carrasco, who said both Frazer and Garner told her about the incident. “He had to have several milk cloths put on him and eventually had to be sedated.”

The mindset required to attack children is the same kind of mindset that led to the widespread lynchings in the South that drove millions of African-Americans north. It’s a mindset that does not see black people as humans. Rather, they’re a subhuman people that can be abused, harassed and murdered because they’re not “really” people anyway.

It might seem unfair to lay this attack at the feet of Donald Trump but you’d be wrong. Trump’s campaign of racial hatred and the corporate media’s incessant normalizing of his white supremacist rhetoric has created an atmosphere where the truly deplorable racists among us have come out of the shadows. They’re not just proud of their hatred, they flaunt it whenever possible, hoping to attract even more like-minded individuals to their cause.

When white supremacy becomes public and normalized, violence ALWAYS follows and this horrific attack on children is just another in a growing wave of anti-minority attacks. And if Trump wins? This will seem like a mild disturbance compared to what’s coming.

The attacker has been described as “a white or Hispanic male in his mid-20s, 5’9″ tall, 160 pounds, wearing black spandex-style bicycle clothing and a grey and black helmet. The suspect was riding a road-style bicycle (not a mountain bike)”

Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective Jeff Sharp at 503-823-9773, jeff.sharp@portlandoregon.gov.

  1. “The mindset required to attack children is the same kind of mindset that led to the widespread lynchings in the (solidly Democratic) South that drove millions of African-Americans north …”
To Portland? Maine or Oregon, they’re Democratic-run cities. Oregon has a Democratic Governor.

“It might seem unfair to lay this attack at the feet of Donald Trump but you’d be wrong. Trump’s campaign of racial hatred …”
Example? I’m no Trump fan, but I don’t see ‘racial hatred” in anything he says.
“… and the corporate media’s incessant normalizing of his white supremacist rhetoric …”
    Example? Just one?
“… has created an atmosphere where the truly deplorable racists among us have come out of the shadows.”
After LBJ’s Great Society and civil rights initiatives and the (later) weakening of private-sector unions following NAFTA and GATT, the parties realigned on immigration. At one time, the Democratic Party favored restrictions on immigration and the Republican Party favored open borders. The Wall Street Journal supports open borders.

    • You need to get your hearing and eyes checked! Yes Washington and Oregon are basically Liberal but obviously not all are. And yes, I think this is Trumps fault. He brought them out of the closet and put them on a pedestal! He gives them permission to hate and act on it! My daughter-in-law was attacked in Washington State. And she is a blue-eyed blonde that shows her German blood lines. She was accosted in a grocery store in front of her children by a wild-eyed screaming hater .. otherwise know as a Republican, who verbally and physically assaulted her and her children, because she was using a WIC voucher to buy baby food!!! You think this is just about Blacks, Latinos, Muslims, .. you know .. people who “DON’T COUNT”??? No it is going to effect all of us. Hate doesn’t stop until there is only one group left standing and I would think very long and hard if you think you are really in their group! Wait till it is you or your children or your aged parents. Then it will be too late.

    • “The mindset required to attack children is the same kind of mindset that led to the widespread lynchings in the (solidly Conservative Democratic that became overwhelmingly conservative Republicans because LBJ treated blacks like people) South that drove millions of African-Americans north …” You forgot to mention all of that. You’re welcome for the correction.

“Example? I’m no Trump fan, but I don’t see ‘racial hatred” in anything he says.” Every single time he talked about Mexicans being rapists. Every time he retweets a neo-Nazi (which he’s done over and over). There’s 2 examples. You’re welcome.

“Example? Just one?” If a Democrat retweeted a neo-Nazi just once, that would be The Greatest Scandal Ever. If they did it repeatedly, they would have to resign. If a Democrat refused to condemn the KKK, he would have to resign. If a Democrat hired an openly white supremacist campaign leader, he would have to resign. Trump gets a pass because the media pretends “both sides” are equal. That’s normalizing white supremacy.

      You’re welcome. 🙂

        • That is, a quote with any expression of white supremacy or anti-black or Hispanic or Asian etc. sentiment. It’s reasonable, in my opinion, to reject anti-Jewish or anti-pagan beliefs (i.e., to reject fundamentalist Islam) and to question the sanity of importing unvetted men of military age from regions where the US is effectively at war.

        • Ah, this is where you pretend that you can’t pick one of the myriad examples? Sure, go for it. No one’s ever seen that rhetorical ploy before and it’s very convincing. BTW, he’s said more than once that Mexicans are rapists. That was a specific, concrete example you chose to ignore.

Now comes the part where you unconvincingly dismiss it as not racist and demand more examples. (Yes, I know how this game is played. Trump supporters pretending to not be Trump supporters have been doing this for over a year now). Good luck with that.

  2. “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

–Real estate mogul Donald Trump, presidential announcement speech, June 16, 2015

“What can be simpler or more accurately stated? The Mexican Government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States. They are, in many cases, criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc.”

–Trump, statement about his June 16 comments, July 6, 2015

  3. Some cops are bullies. To observe that the profession attracts bullies does not make one anti-cop. Some teachers molest children. To observe that the profession attracts paedophiles does not make one anti-teacher. Some immigrants are criminals and/or parasites. To observe that the US social safety net attracts parasites and that people at risk of prosecution at home will find emigration an attractive option does not make one racist.
