Fox anchor Brian Kilmeade recently attacked Jimmy Kimmel for speaking out on his show regarding the ACA repeal. He basically dismissed Kimmel’s pleas of keeping it intact because according to Kilmeade, Kimmel is part of the “Hollywood elite.” Kimmel was not taking that nonsense lying down. The “Hollywood elite” are protected under the First Amendment like anyone else in this country.
Last night on Kimmel’s show, he had this to say about Kilmeade’s dismissal,
He follows me on Twitter. He asks me to write a blurb for his book, which I did. He calls my agent looking for projects. He’s dying to be a member of the Hollywood elite. The only reason he’s not a member of the Hollywood elite is because nobody will hire him to be one. And the reason I’m talking about this is because my son had an open heart surgery, has to have two more, and I learned there are kids with no insurance in the same situation. I don’t get anything out of this, Brian, you phony little creep. Oh, I’ll pound you when I see you.
On Thursday’s Fox & Friends, Kilmeade addressed Kimmel’s passion in advocating for patients with heart conditions like his son’s. However, he said that Kimmel needs to engage more with the Republicans who are trying to repeal Obamacare. We can get where Kilmeade is coming from – don’t alienate the other side and all that, but isn’t that exactly what he did when he dismissed Kimmel in the first place?

I hope your son gets better. I hope your son gets all the care he needs. I’m glad you’re interested, you’re doing a great job bringing the dialogue out. But you should do what we’re doing. Talk to the people that wrote it.
Maybe they would listen to Kimmel and maybe not. More than likely, he would be dismissed by Republicans just as Kilmeade did before Kimmel called him out. Kilmeade stuck his foot in his mouth and then was called out and backpedaled only when Kimmel promised to pummel him.
