Last week, retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin made the world laugh as he stood next to Donald Trump and made the WTF face we all make when we hear a speech by 45. This display of contempt thrust the 87-year-old, moon walking badass into the forefront of many minds and lead new fans to dig up old footage of the American hero–including the footage of Buzz punching a moron in the face when he was a spry 72-years-old.
On September 9, 2002, conspiracy theorist Bart Sibrel lured the Apollo 11 crew member to a Los Angeles hotel under the guise of wanting to interview him for a Japanese children’s show. When Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, realized the interview was bullshit, he started to leave the hotel but Sibrel followed him demanding he swear on the Bible that he walked on the moon. Aldrin repeatedly told the conspiracy nut to leave him alone but Sibrel continued pursuing him while calling him “a coward, and a liar, and a thief.”
Finally, Aldrin had enough and this happened:
Aldrin was never charged for punching the moron in the face and Sibrel later apologized for the incident.
Have we ever mentioned how much we love Buzz? He is such a badass.
