Alex Jones is a huge douchenozzle. Last month, we wrote about the lawsuit against him by Chobani, the yogurt company. InfoWars released a video on April 11, entitled “Idaho Yogurt Maker Caught Important Migrant Rapists.” The reporter (we use that term very loosely) stated that the Chobani plant in Twin Falls, Idaho has only brought crime and disease since it opened five years ago. Sane people can only assume these claims are based on two facts: Twin Falls has a refugee resettlement center and Chobani employs refugees. However, Alex Jones’ moronic followers (Trump being one of them) decided his word is gospel and boycotted the yogurt manufacturer.
So, Chobani decided to sue his ass amidst his ongoing court battle with his ex-wife over the custody of their two children. Karma really is a bitch, isn’t it, Al? They asked him repeatedly to remove the video and retract his statements, which was refused. They sued him for $10,000 for defamation. It was the principle that mattered, not the money.
Jones lost that much-publicized case against the ex….and he also settled the court case with Chobani. He issued the following statement on Wednesday,
During the week of April 10, 2017, certain statements were made on the Infowars, Twitter feed and YouTube channel regarding Chobani LLC that I now understand to be wrong. The tweets and video have now been retracted, and will not be re-posted. On behalf of Infowars, I regret that we mischaracterized Chobani, its employees and the people of Twin Falls, Idaho, the way we did.
Just like one of his favorite supporters, ahem – Trump, Jones HAS to be tired of all the winning.
We hope that this will open the eyes of some of his followers. We doubt it, though. Morons attract morons and there is no reasoning with morons unless their asses get taken to court. There are just some people who eat negativity for breakfast and thrive on it. It’s satisfying that Jones got a firm kick in the nuts for perpetuating his world of defamation for the sake of a dollar.
